Peter Franks' scale Pitts projectRev. 1 October 25, 2007 |
![]() The plans arrived in July, 2007 from Aviation Products in the US who have plans available for 10 aircraft types. |
![]() Construction started a few days later after a trip to the local hardware store for 3/8" plywood. |
![]() The project only took about 6 weeks in between other jobs. |
![]() Span 115 cm; length 140 cm, height 70 cm Cruise 1.0 kt, Vne 1.5 kts, Vs1 n/a Aerobatics — limited to ground loops |
![]() Initial test flights were good, test pilot Teddy reported that it handled beautifully. The aircraft went back to the workshop for the final finish. ![]() Lucy, my granddaughter and the new owner, has completed pre-handover inspection and taken possession, but as yet not achieved her tail dragger endorsement. ![]() The same paint scheme as my Murphy Renegade. I figure that way I can save on registration costs; I'm sure no one will ever notice that there are two biplanes with the same registration numbers. |
